Peel and Stick Wallpaper Accent Wall
Hi Friends,
We have been busily working on Eloise’s room and adding some extra charm to make it feel a little more cozy! We are so excited to be working with Rocky Mountain Decals on this project. After searching tons of their amazing options for wallpaper, we found the perfect one to match the light blue walls in Eloise’s nursery. We wanted to add an accent wall in her room to make the room feel a little cozier and also add some visual interest. Below you will see the design mockup I made before we started on her room.

Eloise’s room is painted with Benjamin Moore’s First Snowfall, it is the perfect light blue with grey undertones. My parents painted her room for us when I was pregnant and not able to tackle really any DIY projects. We haven’t done a ton to the room other than reusing nursery furniture from when Charlotte was little and adding a rocker. So, we felt like it was the perfect time to add a little fun to her room.

We chose Secret Garden Peel and Stick Wallpaper to apply to two-thirds of the wall and we would finish it off with board and batten on the bottom portion. The application for the peel and stick wallpaper was so unbelievably easy and very beginner friendly. I think it only took me about 45 minutes to an hour to apply the whole wall. First you want to make sure that the whole wall is cleaned and smooth, ready for application. Rocky Mountain Decals makes it so easy to apply the wallpaper. They give you everything you need. In the kit was a wallpaper application tool to smooth out any bumps or air bubbles that will form. Each section of the wallpaper is labeled in the order in which to place them starting left to right. They are even labeled with the direction of where the TOP of the wallpaper is. When I say this is so easy, I mean it is SO EASY!

I worked in small sections peeling off the backing of the wallpaper as I went, making sure it was level and even with the walls and the previous section. Also, don’t forget to the smooth out any of the air bubbles as you go in small sections. Start at the top-middle and work your way out. This peel and stick wallpaper is so easy and such great quality that it did not bunch or tear when I was applying. Superb quality.

Once the wallpaper was all installed, we added board and batten to the bottom of the wall.

We are thrilled with the quality and the styles to choose from at Rocky Mountain Decals and highly recommend you check them out! We are in love with how this turned out and can’t wait to continue to make this sweet little room perfect for our little Eloise!
xoxo Carly
